According to Lance Zierlien Sam McGuffie tested off the charts at a pre-draft workout.
How about this for a workout warrior.Former Michigan and current Rice RB tested with 4.28 40, 41.5 vert, 11.2 broad jump & 3.8 shuttle— Lance Zierlein (@LanceZierlein) February 18, 2013
Sorry, forgot to add Sam McGuffie's name in my last tweet. He's the former Michigan and current Rice RB who tested off the charts— Lance Zierlein (@LanceZierlein) February 18, 2013
Interesting because McGuffie has always been a phenomenal athlete dating back to his days at Cy Fair High School. He went to Michigan, played a little, battled some injuries, and then transferred back home to Rice. This season he was limited to 5 carries and 16 yards but did make 54 catches. Could he be a Randall Cobb type? Danny Woodhead?
Durability will be the issue. But if his 40 time is close to accurate that's Devin Hester, Chris Johnson territory.
