This one was U-G-L-Y it ain't got no alibi, it's ugly, what, what ugly. Penalties, blown calls, bad offense, and yet at the end, college kids rushed the field after Tech beat a now sub-.500 TCU squad.
Come on now kids, get back to the library and start working on the electric car or fat free Big Mac.
Baker Mayfield was hot early and then not so hot later. Tech really struggled with TCU's defense. Tech needs some balance on offense and maybe a shot of Michael Brewer. TCU really misses Casey Pachall. They look like another 7-6 squad with Boykin at the helm.
Jace Amaro is the truth, he made himself some NFL money tonight. 6-5 and 270 pounds with speed and hands. Mayfield may rely too heavily on him, but it's hard not to.
Sadly the refs had a big say in this one. TCU had a touchdown and two turnovers negated by, at best, questionable calls. But, when you aren't great on 3rd down and can't avoid flags you wrote much of your own story.
TCU takes a week off to think about how things have gone of the rails before taking on Metroplex rival SMU. Tech welcomes Texas State and perhaps a fresh quarterback controversy.
