A&M played ground and pound in the second half to run away from Arkansas and go 1-1 in conference. A&M defense played like a pack of wet Charmin for most of the game, but the Ags did however turn up when it mattered in the second half.

Johnny Football was unstoppable in the first half, then played a smart, ball control second half to help the Aggies get the W. Brett Bielema’s squad made hay through the air in the first half, then the rains came in earnest and Arkansas started throwing to the wrong colored jerseys.

Mike Evans keeps making that NFL money with another huge effort. A&M fans started praying to whichever maker they claim when Evans got up gimpy after a touchdown. Evans came back and looked ok, he’ll have the benefit of the bye week. The defense will need a bye week to learn both the subtleties and major points of tackling.

Ole Miss is next. The second trip to Oxford in as many years could be a loser go home match in the SEC West.
