UNT Blows Out Idaho

Idaho Vandals 6

North Texas 40

PASS: Chalich (IDA): 19-27, 230, TD Thompson (UNT): 23-27, 349, 2 TD

RUSH: Brown (IDA): 6-70 Byrd (UNT): 7-57, 2 TD

REC: Epps (IDA): 7-89 Chancellor (UNT): 6-135, TD

Derek Thompson would like to petition the NCAA to allow UNT to play Idaho more than once this year. Thompson when 23-27 for 349 yards and 2 TD's as the Mean Green blew out the Vandals in Denton.

Idaho got out fast with a 6-0 lead but the Mean Green took over and scored 40 straight including two touchdowns by RB Brandon Byrd. Idaho is coached by the other Petrino, which is kind of like being the other Stoops except you're trapped at Idaho not Lexington.

The Vandals didn't help their cause with 11 penalties or really by allowing way more points than they were able to score.

This could be huge game for Thompson, who controlled the quarterback position battle from start to finish. He's certainly got a target in Chancelor who caught 6 for 135 and a touchdown.
