Texas/OU to Stay at the Cotton Bowl

The Texas-OU rivalry will stay in the Cotton Bowl as the two Universities extend their contract with the Texas State Fair through 2025.

So congrats on that and hooray for the greatness of Texas/OU staying where God intended it.

BYU Would Like to Join the Big 12 Thank You Very Much.

Please let BYU stay in your house. They won't be too much trouble. They'll clean up after themselves. Please let BYU stay in your house.

The Cougars were all hot to trot to go Independent last season. That is until they saw the power conference landscape. Now they would LOVE to join the Big 12.

"We would love to be in the Big 12," Bronco Mendenhall said. "I would love to be a member of that conference. I think that would make a lot of sense. In fact, if that was your headline, that would be great."

If the Cougs don't join up, there's talk now of a possible Notre Dame/ACC scheduling arrangement with BYU. Maybe it's me but BYU doesn't hold the same weight as the Fighting Irish. So...no thanks.

Mary Hardin Baylor Picked Second in Division III Preseason Poll.

UMHB was picked second by USA Today, trailing only defending national champion Wisconsin-Whitewater, who were picked to repeat as national champions. Mount Union was picked third by the publication, Wesley (DE) College is picked fourth and Bethel (MN) College rounds out the top five.

It appears that Wisconsin-Whitewater and Mount Union are contractually obligated to play for the Division III Championship. Perhaps UMHB can change all that.
