Ranking the teams 1-12. In order.
They're the best, no doubt. They get Iowa State at home. Prep for 70. Then it gets interesting. K-State, OU, Okie State, TCU, and Texas. Three of those teams have a legitimate shot.
TCU keeps on on keeping on. Boykin is having a Heisman caliber year with Heisman moments left and right. The Frogs are off this week before a Thursday home game against West Virginia.
3. Texas A&M
They're eye is blackened officially, but no rest for the weary. A trip to Oxford that will make or break their season.
6-0. Hottest young coach in America. Historical recruiting. Now if they could just sell out a home game.
5. Texas Tech
The Kansas game was too close for comfort. Five games left. Tech might only be favored in one of the five. It's about to get hairy Kliff.
This is officially a huge game for Charlie Strong. K-State is reeling from OU's beat down. Now the Horns have had a bye week to build on the Red River win and get ready for the Cats.
It's a dash for cash if you're a Rice Owl. You're 3-3, you need to go at least 3-3 to get to a bowl. Coming off a bye the Owls get Army at home.
For all the excitement, their aren't many wins left on this schedule. SMU will need to beat someone they aren't supposed to. Or Tulane.
1-6 entering a bye week. Good grief, Southern Miss hasn't looked that good since the mid 90's.
The Miners are banged up and needing a good outing coming off the bye. They get Florida Atlantic at home. Should be a win for Kugler and what's left of his team.
11. Texas State
Seven games left and it's getting hot under Fran's fanny. The Bobcats need a win against South Alabama at home Saturday for any hope of pulling this season out of the ditch.
12. North Texas
An interim coach retread, an 0-6 record. UNT is still digging. A trip to Marshall doesn't look promising, but then UTSA visits for what looks like the Mean Green's last shot at a win in 2015.
