Texas Tech jumped out 28-7 over the Kansas State Wildcats and held on to win 59-44. The win makes the Red Raiders bowl eligible.
Texas Tech put up over 650 yards, including 384 passing, on the Wildcats. Patrick Mahomes complete 33 of 43 passing attempts including 3 touchdowns. He was only upstaged by DeAndre Washington who ran for 248 yards at a 9 yard per carry clip with 3 touchdowns.
Tech gets a week off before a Thanksgiving matchup at Texas.

- Texas Tech’s 28 points to start the game marked its most ever in the first quarter against a conference opponent. Texas Tech had scored 28 points only twice previously in program history against Sam Houston State (2005) and Stephen F. Austin (2013).
- DeAndre Washington became the first Red Raider to rush for at least 200 yards since Shaud Williams against Colorado on Oct. 16, 1999.
