5A Division I
Mansfield Lake Ridge 15-0
Richmond George Ranch 15-0
Something has to give. Must be an awful feeling to know you’re only loss was in the state title game. We went 2-8 my senior year so there are worse things.
Jett Duffey mans the quarterback position for Lake Ridge and the Tech commit is a true dual threat. Duffey has 50 TDs coming into Fridays game. He’s joined by 2,000 yard rusher Duke Carter. Lake Ridge average 53 points a game. Yes, that’s a lot.
George Ranch is the bully of the school yard proving its worth against 5A favorites Temple and Vista Ridge. Defensive tackle Teslyim Anifowoshe is the mainstay up front and an SMU commit. Darius Anderson and Alex Fontenot are a two headed rushing combo that contribute 3,399 combined rushing yards.
Both schools began varsity play in 2012 and both are looking for their first state title. George Ranch have run up a 41-3 record the last three years.
