Baylor Hires Mack Rhoades as New AD

Mack Rhoades has been confirmed as the new AD at Baylor. Rhoades comes to Baylor from Missouri. Prior to his tenure in Columbia, Rhoades oversaw the athletic department at Houston. Rhoades has also worked in the athletic department at UTEP. Looking at Rhoades hiring record, he's responsible for the hiring of Tom Herman at Houston and Dave Odom at Missouri. In terms of infrastructure Rhoades oversaw the contruction of two stadiums, TDECU at Houston and a new stadium at Akron. Rhoades comes to Baylor at a critical moment for the university.

Ken Starr, Ian McCaw and Art Briles bungled and worse blatantly ignored serious, criminal discipline issues within the program. Rhoades will need to navigate the department through not only a coaching search but also fallout from the Title IX  lawsuits. For his part he seems up to the task; "I look forward to the opportunity to join Baylor University at this important time in its history."
