Rice Moving on from Co-Offensive Coordinator Larry Edmondson

Football Scoop is reporting that Rice Co-Offensive Coordinator Larry Edmondson will not be brought back by the Owls. That makes two of three coordinators out after Rice's 3-9 season. About a month ago Defensive Coordinator Chris Thurmond announced that he was retiring. In a critical year for head coach David Bailiff, he'll have a new look defense and perhaps a new look offense. Co-Offensive Coordinator Billy Lynch is still on the staff.

Edmondson had been on the Rice staff for eight years, including the last three in his role as Co-Offensive Coordinator/Quarterback Coach. Edmondson has 28 years coaching experience including time at LSU, SMU, Southern Miss, Mississippi State, and Auburn.

This season the Owls finished 93rd in scoring offense, 72nd in rushing offense, and 80th in rush offense.
