Houston uses bye-week to get healthy

The Cougars had a week off last week, before finishing up their final two games of the 2017 regular season. The respite week was welcomed by some banged up Cougars.

Khalil Williams is expected back this week after missing the East Carolina game with a knee ankle. Williams is the fourth leading tackler on the roster with 47 stops including eight tackles for loss. Houston also got some good news as All-American Ed Oliver passed a stability test, meaning he can once again play without a knee brace. Oliver injured his knee against Temple and played since with a bulky brake.

Oliver is third on the team with 53 stops including a team-leading ten tackles for loss.

Houston plays at Tulane on Saturday.
