Matt Rhule's first spring practice is set to kick off March 18th and finish with a Spring Game on April 22nd at McLane Stadium. The Bears will have 15 practices in between. The Spring Game will be open to the public and free of charge. The Bears will divide into to two teams and play a real game! Albeit one that doesn't allow anyone to touch the quarterback.
Rhule's Bears are coming off a 7-6 season in one of the most bizarre seasons in recent memory complete with a caretaker coach, a rogue staff, a disgraced school president, a dog beating receiver, a 6-0 start and a 1-6 finish. Along the way the Bears were ranked in the top 10 before the wheels fell completely off.
Now Rhule's task is to get the Bears back on track and further distance his program from the scandal that Art Briles and Ian McCaw hath wrought.
