Texas Tech's receiver corps took a hit as Ian Sadler retired from football this week due to knee injuries.
Sadler a junior in 2016 from Argyle caught 23, 42, and 24 passes from 2014 to 2016. He was expected to be a key contributor from the slot in 2017. Don Williams of the Lubbock Avalanche is reporting that Sadler is forced to call it quits due to knee injuries.
Sadler was the best player on the field in Argyle's 2013 State title win over Fairfield. Sadler accounted for four of Argyle's five touchdowns that evening at Jerry World.
Best of luck to Sadler moving forward.
