Houston Parts Ways with Receivers Coach Darrell Wyatt

Houston made a post spring practice staff move parting ways with receivers coach Darrell Wyatt. Wyatt was part of the Houston staff for the past year plus. Wyatt, a 26 year coaching veteran from Killeen, was brought on last year to replace Drew Mehringer after Mehringer left for Rutgers. No reason was given by the school for Wyatt's departure, but the school did announce his replacement in former Houston GA and current Texas quality control coach Kenny Guiton.

Guiton played for Urban Meyer at Ohio State and coached for the Cougars in 2015 and '16 as a graduate assistant. Guiton has Houston roots after player at Aldine Eisenhower. While at Ike, Guyton was a standout quaterback. He's considered a fast riser in coaching circles and this move is a step up from his quality control gig at UT.
