Baylor's thin offensive line just got thinner

Baylor went through spring drills with seven scholarship linemen. Seven. The news yesterday that Rimington Watch List center Tanner Thrift is retiring from football is another dent in already fragile position.

Thrift suffered a knee injury this spring after moving from tackle to center where he was counted on to replace four year starter Kyle Fuller. Thrift, a senior from Hutto, started two games at right guard in 2016 for the Bears.

Baylor adds six true freshmen offensive linemen this summer most if not all will be counted on to contribute in some way in their first year. Thrifts backup coming out of the spring was walk-on Daniel Russell.
