Part of Tech's receiving exodus this spring included Tony Brown, who announced his transfer via twitter a few weeks ago. Today Brown used twitter once again, this time to announce he was heading to the literal Rocky Mountain High and Boulder where he'll play for Colorado.
Darrin Chiaverini was the assistant coach who recruited Brown to Tech, and Chiaverini now is the co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach at Colorado.
Brown, from La Mirada, California, caught 14 passes for 250 yards and one touchdown for the Red Raiders in 2015 and caught 13 passes for 128 yards and a TD in 2016. He must sit out the 2017 season to fulfill the NCAA residency requirement for transfers and then will have two years of eligibility left.
