Starting right tackle Brandon Hodges has announced he will leave from Texas and seek a grad transfer.
Hodges started nine games in 2016 at tackle. Hodges sat out the spring due to academic issues, as a result he was bumped down the depth chart. Hodges is a Mississippi native who's played two seasons in Texas. He was rated the No. 7 JC offensive tackle coming out of East Mississippi Community College prior to signing with the Longhorns.
Hodges played high school football at Aberdeen (Miss.) High, where he was a three-star prospect. Among the obvious possibilities for Hodges may be Mississippi State, one of three schools that offered him a scholarship before his decision to enroll at Texas in 2015.
