Former Owl Temi Alaka Lands at South Florida

Rice grad transfer Temi Alaka will be heading to Tampa to join up with former Texas coach Charlie Strong at South Florida. Alaka was the Owls leading receiver with 458 yards on 28 receptions and two touchdowns.

Alaka and fellow Rice receiver Nate German announced they were each leaving the Rice program last spring. Alaka, from Cy Falls high school, was Rice's best deep threat. USF is loaded at receiver, so we'll see whether he gets much playing time.
