Texas Tech is trying to catch up with the Texases, Baylors and the Oklahomas of the world with a locker room renovation. The Red Raiders debuted their new digs yesterday.
The school unveiled its $1.6 million renovation on Monday, one that features upgrades such as better ventilation, a new players lounge, couches, improved lighting and 60-inch televisions throughout the facility. There are USB chargers in each locker so you can always be tweeting. The locker room itself features 120 steel lockers. The locker room is also highlighted by a new entrance, featuring various Red Raider helmets as well as a lighted Double T hanging from the roof of the ceiling.
As always the locker room has a high strip club factor with tons of neon red lights, a lot of which are from the ground. It's full on "Casandra to stage two" when the lights are on and the music is bumping.
Here's a video from Lubbock Avalanche Journal highlighting the new space.
