Travon Blanchard Waits on outcome of Baylor investigation

Diehards is reporting along with the twitterverse are reporting that Baylor defensive standout Travon Blanchard is awaiting the findings of a Baylor internal investigation to determine whether he will transfer to the Division II level to continue his career. Blanchard is suspended indefinitely by the Baylor program pending the outcome of an assault family violence charge. 

Baylor is expected to make some finding on the issue by September. 

Blanchard made the All-Big 12 team in 2016 and started at Baylor for two seasons. Pending the outcome of his situation at Baylor, he would transfer to A&M Commerce, a Division II school that plays in the Lone State Conference. Head coach Colby Carthel is the former defensive coordinator at West Texas A&M and is building quite the resume at Commerce. The Lions averaged nine wins the past three seasons, including two playoff trips. 

Blanchard is a senior from West Orange Stark.
