DeSoto product Shawn Robinson is transferring from TCU. The quarterback started eight games for the Frogs including seven this season as a true sophomore. He gave way to Michael Collins due to injury. Collins made four starts before Grayson Muehlstein came in to start the regular season finale.
Robinson attended three high schools, so he’s used to making new friends and finding his way to new classes. He came to TCU as a four-star composite recruit according to 24/7 after leading DeSoto to the state title.
Robinson probably saw the writing on the wall as Collins will have a leg up in the 2019 QB race and five-star 2018 signee Justin Rogers will be ready to compete after sitting out all of this season recovering from a catastrophic knee injury. We’ll see where Robinson ends up and who joins him in the growing transfer market.
