UTSA Adds David Turner to Staff

Say this for Frank Wilson; he attracts big-time assistants. A day after Bo Davis announced his departure to the NFL and the Detroit Lions, Wilson brings in former A&M assistant and long-time SEC mentor David Turner.

Turner came to A&M after a long stint at Mississippi State, but he's also coached at Kentucky, Alabama, and  Vandy. His old boss in College Station, John Chavis raved about Turner's abilities; "[h]e's a great technician, he takes pride in his work as all our coaches do. I think that's the thing that sets him apart. You look at his career wherever he's been, his players have played well."

Turner helped develop Fletcher Cox, Josh Boyd, Pernell McPhee, and others into NFL prospects. He's also considered a keen recruiter, a pre-requisite to be on Wilson's staff. Roadrunner spring ball begins on March 5th.
