AAC Releases Houston's 2018 Schedule

We now know Major Applewhite's path to nine wins and alignment with expectations. The AAC released UH's schedule for 2018, so what are the Coogs in for?

After non-conference dates with Rice, Arizona, Texas Tech and Texas Southern the Cougars get Tulsa at home before road dates at ECU and Navy. The Houston welcomes USF to TDECU for another East/West crossover game. Houston then travels to in-state foe SMU before home games with Temple and Tulane. Houston wraps up 2018 with a trip to Memphis.

Back to back East Coast trips to East Carolina and Navy won't be easy, especially preparing for the Midshipmen. Those are the only back-to-back roadies for Houston all season. Houston's bye week comes between Texas Southern and the start of its conference schedule with Tulsa.

Circle that two-game stretch with Navy and USF as critical. If the Cougars are going to contend in the West, they've got a chance to be 2-0 when they travel to Annapolis and then get the Bulls at home. If Houston can get out to a 4-0 start, they might run away and hide in the west. The next three games are all winnable with two at home. That trip to Memphis won't be fun.
