At least two Baylor football players are under investigation in connection with a report of sexual assault that involved female members of the Baylor equestrian team. The two players, who's named were redacted, are allegedly redshirts, were involved in an incident at an off-campus apartment complex in November after the Bear's loss to Texas Tech.
Police haven't made arrests, but the investigation is active. Baylor has turned the information over to the University's Title IX office according to a Baylor spokesman. So that's progress we get. KWTX reports that authorities interviewed four people are considered suspects. The police report also indicates that four Baylor faculty or staff members were interviewed as well.
The information came to light via an open records request by KWTX. Interestingly, the police report came to KWTX not from the Waco Police Department or Baylor PD, but rather from a law firm Bickerstaff-Heath-Delgado-Acosta, based out of Austin.
