The re-recruitment of Calvin Anderson is over as the Rice grad transfer officially chooses Texas over Michigan, Auburn, and others. Anderson, a three-year starter for the Owls, gives Texas immediate help at tackle. He credited new Texas line coach Herb Hand for pushing Texas over the hump.
Anderson will graduate in May from Rice with a Mathematical Economic Analysis Degree, perhaps the most Rice of the Rice degrees, and will go through summer workouts with Texas. He played his high school football at Austin powerhouse Westlake.
