Texas Pledging $140 Million to South Endzone Redo

Texas is making good on plans to upgrade their facilities by announcing they are seeking bids to remake the south end zone at the cost of $140 million. By doing so, the Longhorns will also be renovating or tearing down the Moncrief-Neuhaus Athletic Center.

The project is far reaching as the proposal lays out a vision of "new exclusive suites, clubs, open air concourses, restroom facilities, new coaches offices, a banquet kitchen, premium loge, and student seating, private game-day parking, branding graphics, Longhorn Network areas, sports medicine/nutrition areas, hydrotherapy, and other support spaces."

Construction is tentatively set to begin in the summer of 2019 with a completion date of July 2021.
