V.J. Banks Announces Grad Transfer to Colorado State

Rice's last graduate transfer, we think/hope, V.J. Banks, announced via Twitter his intention to head to Fort Collins and play for Colorado State.

A senior from Bryan, Banks made 23 starts for the Owls but sat out 2017 due to injury. 2016 proved to be Banks most productive as an Owl, starting eleven games and registering 37 stops with a pick and a fumble. All told in his Rice career he had two interceptions.

The Owls return Brandon Douglas-Dotson, Justin Bickham, D'Angelo Ellis, Josh Cummings and Jorian Clark at corner from 2017's squad.

Banks joins J.T. Ibe (South Carolina), Calvin Anderson (Texas), and Preston Gordon (Texas Tech) who have all received their Rice degrees and headed elsewhere this offseason.
