Da'Juan McMillan - DT Port Arthur Memorial

The Coogs picked up a commitment from Port Arthur Memorial defensive tackle Da'Juan McMillan. 24/7 lists McMillan at 6-3, 290 pounds. On Hudl, McMillan show decent get off on the snap and looks relatively light on his feet. Memorial finished 8-2 last season, they play in a tough, golden triangle district that includes Port Neches Grove, Nederland, and Beaumont Central.

Damon Ward - WR Beaumont West Brook

Ward is listed at 6-0, 190 pounds out of West Brook. He holds offers from UTEP, Southern Miss, ULM, and New Mexico State. He's a more polished route runner who makes tough catches, including working over the middle. With the ball in his hands, he transitions for a runner fluidly. He caught 22 passes last season, seven of which went for touchdowns.

Jha'Quan Jackson - Ath Hahnville (Louisiana)

SMU's first pickup for the 2019 recruiting cycle is Jackson, an athlete from Boutte Hahnville in Louisiana. Jackson has the quicks and breakaway speed. He played quarterback last season, but probably translates to a receiver or running back on the Hilltop. He's a natural athlete who Hudl lists as running a 4.4 - who know if that's right or not, but it doesn't appear to be far off. Jackson holds offers from Navy, North Texas, Houston, Southern Miss, Tulane, and West Virginia among others.
