TCU's Ross Blacklock Out for the Year

Ross Blacklock suffered a season ending injury during Tuesday's practice. Blacklock was the Big 12's Co-Freshman Defensive Player of the Year in 2017 at defensive tackle. The sophomore from Elkins High School redshirted in 2016 and started all 14 games in 2017.

In his place TCU has options including redshirt freshman Terrell Cooper from Lindale. Cooper will jump into Blacklock's place Joseph Broadnax will get a chance to play a more significant role. The other starter inside looks to be sophomore Corey Bethley out of Katy.

Losing Blacklock hurts the Frogs not only because of his immense talent, but also the TCU rotation just got a lot younger and less experienced.

TCU opens the season September 1st against Southern.
