Nick Harvey announced via Twitter his intention to make Denton his new home. It’s the latest stop for the Richmond Travis grad who started his career at Texas A&M where he started twelve games for the Aggies in 2016. He played nickel in 2015 and saw action at corner and on special teams in 2014. A blown ACL cost him his entire 2017 season.
In 2018 he announced his transfer to fellow SEC foe South Carolina, however, four games into his season he shut it down due to concussions.
The former U.S. Army All-American moved from corner to safety at South Carolina, but his head injuries prevented his impact on the field. He earned sixth-year eligibility and will now ply his craft for the Mean Green. He probably leans to safety now but can swing into a third or fourth corner if necessary.
Let’s hope Harvey gets a one last healthy season in this fall.
